The Queen was criticized for being cold and distant with her children. And now Kate is being criticized for being too caring. I guess us women just can’t win, can’t we?
If I were a kid (heck and if I were an adult) and my great-grandmother had died (on my first day at a new school, no less!), I’d have wanted to have my mum with me.
Besides, I’m sure if she’d gone she’d have been criticized by the same people criticizing her decision to stay with the kids.
